DEMX Architecture is committed to providing professional architectural services that meet or exceed expectations. We work as a team to produce work that is within budget and schedule. Our engineering consultants and contractors are vital team members on all of our projects and we have established relationships and developed a collaborative approach with them. Using Building Information Modeling (BIM), we provide timely services by streamlining exchanges of information and minimizing conflicts between disciplines – all which helps us collaborate with our consultants at the most ideal and practical time.
We greatly value the practice of responsible design, integrating the imperative of environmental sustainability within the strategic goals of every project. Through our practice we’ve developed a rich understanding of the science, materials and processes of green building. Our goal is always to achieve efficient and adaptable solutions that sustain people, business, and the natural environment.
We are dedicated to being good listeners and respectful stewards of our client’s goals and budget.
Through individual honors, design awards, and publications, we have been recognized on state and national levels for our work. This range of experience has allowed us to study the unique needs of many clients and businesses including housing, urban planning, disability advocacy, hospitality, healthcare, education, logistics, and emergency services. We approach each project as a unique problem with a design solution by client interests, building typologies, and local environments.

As a design-focused architecture firm in Fayetteville, Arkansas, DEMX Architecture was founded by Tim de Noble, former department head of the Fay Jones School of Architecture and Design, and our managing principal, Tim Maddox, AIA.
We were founded with a belief that vernacular building types are those from which we could learn our greatest lessons. These buildings – such as barns, sheds, silos and local houses – each exhibit our most essential responses to the environment. They are built in defining style with context and function being priority. They are not built with style or prestige in mind, and therefore they age with grace, gaining value over time, and do not reflect trends or other dated values.
Our other inspiration is Modernism, which is dependent on the ideals of material production and assembly. Like vernacularism, Modernism was absent of an Architectural Style and the market forces that drove those styles. It focused on appropriate and efficient material use, and a designed response to its site.
