The Town of Dell, Arkansas (est. population 209) secured a grant to build a new four-bay fire station for the town and the surrounding communities within Mississippi County in Northeast Arkansas. The program includes an office, bathrooms, showers, a kitchen, and a training room. To keep costs at a minimum, the design implements a simple metal building frame wrapped in sheet metal and brick.
Surrounded by acres of cotton fields, the station’s shape references the cotton modules found along the local highways during harvest time.
